National Rugby Team training will continue on Thursday Aug 26th with a brief fitness session with Trainer Fraser putting us through our paces. The goal is to create a competitive National team that can compete in the NACRA (North American Caribbean Rugby Association) 7’s tournament next year in July. By working towards this goal and sending a competitive side to NACRA in 2011 we can achieve two key goals as a club. 1) develop a better overall skill base, and…2) it will help our case towards becoming fully fledged members of the IRB via obtaining full NACRA membership – which is up from our current Associate Member status. We will achieve this by specific rugby sevens fitness and skill sessions that will begin this Thursday and continue on thru the next few months, leading to the selection of a National side to attend the Trinidad & Tobago tournament to be held in December of this year.
