Last year: Third Place. An impressive lineup on paper was not reflected in the Hurricanes’ performance, with a lack of cohesion costing them a spot in the final.
Players to watch: Edwardson Jean is a player of tremendous potential and the best defender in the Under 19 programme. Blair Mason will be at his combative best in the forwards and Jamie Tait and Josh Walker will look to combine well to release the speed of Alyx Williams out wide.
New additions: Josh Walker (NZ), Jerome Barr (North Caicos Ospreys)
Losses: Dale Hodgkins (injury), Luis Turbyfield, Miguel Malcolm, Chase Comozzi (all overseas)
Prospects: The unavailable players will leave a big hole but this is a team that needs to put individual talent to the side and compete as a team. Hodgkins will be a loss in the forwards so the senior players need to step up. A title contender if they can manage to make the passes stick.
